After a while your wordpress database will build up what is call overhead or unwanted clutter. This will slow down the performance of your wordpress blog. This problem can be fixed with a few easy steps. Log into your Cpanel and go to your MySQL Database for your blog. Scroll down and select phpMyAdmin. Select the database for your wordpress blog.
